Bath County Public Schools will dismiss at 12:30 on Monday, April 8, 2024, due to the timing of the partial solar eclipse. The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) has a variety of free resources about safety considerations for the eclipse and how to safely view the eclipse as damage to the eyes is possible viewing the eclipse. Regular sunglasses, swimming goggles, and most camera filters are not safe for looking directly at the sun. BCPS will be sending home solar eclipse glasses for students on Monday, April 8. Thank you

Grateful for dedicated educators who are willing to give up a day of spring break to paint in the high school. Thank you to everyone who came out to make our school look better.

We are so proud of our staff who consistently go above and beyond. Our carpentry classes built a new roof structure and shingled the well building at the end of last school year. Yesterday, one of our dedicated teachers volunteered after school to start painting the building. Thank you for making our campus look better. TEAMWORK and DEDICATION

Bath County Public Schools was honored to have Kim Bearden, co-founder of Ron Clark Academy, speak at our division-wide inservice today! She also worked with our administrators and counselors! Ms. Bearden is an incredible life-long educator and we were so fortunate to have her with us today! @kimbearden
