We regret to inform you that the 1st Annual Mertz Car Show has been postponed. The event coordinator, Justin Whittington, recently suffered a tragic loss in his family. To allow him and his family time to grieve, we have decided to postpone the event. We want to take this moment to thank him for all the hard work he put into organizing the show. Please join us in sending our thoughts and prayers to his family during this difficult time. We understand the excitement that has been building for this event, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the postponement. We are hopeful that we will be able to reschedule the event in the future. Please stay tuned for further information. Thank you.

Bath County Public Schools will dismiss at 12:30 on Monday, April 8, 2024, due to the timing of the partial solar eclipse. The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) has a variety of free resources about safety considerations for the eclipse and how to safely view the eclipse as damage to the eyes is possible viewing the eclipse. Regular sunglasses, swimming goggles, and most camera filters are not safe for looking directly at the sun. BCPS will be sending home solar eclipse glasses for students on Monday, April 8. Thank you
